The basic design of the web pages was adapted from an open source template (Andreas07) by Andreas Viklund.
MicrosoftTM Expression Web is now used as the principal HTML editor, and to maintain the site. Some clipart icons were freeware or adapted from freeware.
The XHTML used
to prepare this site has been independently validated by W3C.org.
All the chemical formulae were drawn using ChemWindowsTM (Softshell Inc.). All mass spectra, NMR spectra and many other figures were prepared using Metafile CompanionTM (companionsoftware.com).
Much of the data presented in these pages was from original research funded by the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department. I am indebted to the Scottish Crop Research Institute (Invergowrie, Dundee, Scotland (DD2 5DA) for providing the library and laboratory facilities that make this website possible.
