SELECTED TOPICS IN THE ANALYSIS OF LIPIDS
Over the years, I have written a series of
short articles on those aspects of lipid analysis that particularly interested me or
seemed timely for the journal 'Lipid
Technology' (www.pjbarnes.co.uk).
These articles are made available below, most after
substantial revision. The topics covered here are grouped in sections, but the order
is arbitrary. In addition, there are some more substantial
reviews from the 'Advances in Lipid
Methodology' series, published by the Oily Press,
information on which is also accessible from the above link.As time permits, some
original articles will appear here also.
I was encouraged by the editor to keep the
'Lipid Technology' articles at a reasonably
popular level, and I therefore tried to maintain a light tone. However, I
always treated them seriously in the sense of trying to be as up-to-date and well referenced as possible.
I am grateful to Peter Barnes and the Oily Press for permission publish this material.
All the documents are available in PDF format via a link at the end of each web page.
